Dragon Taming Tips

The person to first hit the roaming dragon after it spawned (usually spawns as level of the zone) That means you should NOT hit a noodle you find with your level 55 Char. Because a level 60 Dragon is not just a pain to get down to 10% HP (~2 hours with 5-8 ppl) it also is nearly impossible. You need atleast 50% DI to even stand a chance with perfect internet connection and good reflexes

The level of the roaming dragon gets determined by the tagger and also only the tagger and anybody in a party with said person is able to tame it then, unless you reset it (further down below) Soo grab yourself a guildee and a toon to get a Noodle tagged and secured. Low level toon tags -> the other person gets the aggro and keeps it busy -> low level toon can switch to main char (gotta be in the same party!) to fight and/or tame it.

A Noodle that was NOT capped does not despawn! thats why all the abandoned lvl 60 Dragons are flying around atm. The tagger does determine the level and ownership BUT the ownership can be transfered pretty easily by a reset:
- if the tagger dies and no other party member fighting it is left the ownership will be passed to the next person attacking
- The Ownership can be reset by dragging them underwater, which only works on certain routes tho (like Wynna)
+ apparently they also get reset after a low level Toon tags them, and then gets deleted right after. The dragon will remain on the tagged level but have no Ownership and is free for take
Ther other way is a total reset of the dragon, which includes the ownership AND the level tag, this can be done by:
- failing to tame the tagged Noodle, it will despawn and respawn again after a few minutes then UNTAGGED
- or (if for example the tagger is nowhere to be found and normal reset doesnt work, which sometimes happens) Kill the dragon. It will then most of the times respawn untagged again, tho not guaranteed on the same route, it might also reappear on other routes in said zone, or sometimes not appear again.

Those are the basic rules for tagging. Now if you found one heres a lil battle tip from me:
-the Noodles all have high HP and dmg (even a level 10 tagged Noodle can still kill you easily on 55)
- it is recommended to stun them permanently to prevent it from attacking. Best is any Bird with mounted combat skills, as the normal attack stuns and you can even heal your other party members if the dragon should attack afterall
- Be cautious not to throw/push the Noodle too far away from the route he spawned on, cause that will reset his HP so you gotta start fighting again

Hope this cleared up all the questions left out there and that at least the number of abandoned Lvl 60 noodles will stay low now, its a waste of precious Dragons that couldve been tamed by a player with no Oriental Dragon yet ...

Happy hunting!

Roaming ancients route and respawn every 3-6 hours
