How to train an old dragon new tricks
You will always need a flyer to get around and the faster dragon is the better. Aim for 180% flight speed on your main flyer at the very least.
Make sure healing wind, life reflux and will to live are on them and you should be fine no matter what type of dragon you use for your main.

Dragon Skillz
In Savage Hunt/Dragons Prophet the skills of the dragons you have equipped when you adventure, level, grind or go out to tame other dragons, form a large part of your ability and utility of your character.
This system allows for players to mix and match and come up with personal and customized builds. It is an amazingly flexible system once you have the hang of it.
The first skills to look out for is healing skills. Having healing skills on your equiped dragons is vital and can improve the survival-ability of any class and their dragon pets.
Most classes do not have any heals for several level in the start of the game. That can be fixed by having heals on one of your equipped dragons.
The main dragon healing skills are: Healing Wind, Life Reflux and Life Recovery
Healing Wind is the rarest of the three due to being the best. Don't be alarmed if you can't find this skill in the starting area - the other two will suffice just fine.
WARNING: Due to a glitch with some dragons, Healing Wind and Life Recovery sometimes don't work well together. Try to have Life Reflux, and one of the other of your choice.

Other important Dragon skills to train are crowd control abilities, Such as Cyclone Assault (Both), Obliterating Impact (Magic) and Fiery Hunting (Magic). In most cases crowd control attacks should take priority over normal attacks on any combat dragon.
Obliterating Impact: A powerful charging attack that inflicts physical damage equal to the dragon's intelligence. It scatters monsters but also stuns them, giving you time to regroup/heal in a sticky situation. Popular in the dragon arena, too.

Balge is an Ancient Dragon found in Laedis inside Aryna's Lair, Nyrol's Nest and Gaesis' Roost. Balge shares the same model as the boss Aryna's Offspring. Balge has a very rare chance of spawning and can spawn when entering the dungeon or after killing the boss.
When you enter the dungeons Nyrol's Nest or Gaesis' Roost Balge has a trigger point to spawn when you walk over it. In Nyrol's it will be stepping into the pool at the beginning with the aqua dragons, and in Gaesis' it will be when you walk to the end of the waterfall at the beginning of the dungeon. Be aware that Balge will spawn at level 15 with 6,190 health on easy mode, a quick one shot.
Because of his extremely low hit points, the following strategy is recommended:
- Take off all armor items and carry in inventory.
- Take off weapons and replace with low level weapon.
- Switch to an empty talent specialization, if possible.
- Use a very weak attack on Balge, only damage him once, and pray you don't kill him.
