Dragon Breeding and training in Savage Hunt

Step1: Dragon Provision production.
You will need ALOT of Dragon Provisions. The best way improve you daily yield of Dragon Provisions is to train up a team of five dragons to maxed gathering skills. Yes they do stack. So you can have multiple level III for the same gathering skill on the same dragon. e.g. Hunting II and Hunting III on the same dragon.

Step2: Gold
Bottom line higher level content drops more gold. The best way to increase your daily gold income is to max level a character.

Step3: Dragon Lair Slots and Storage space

Step4: Rent an apartment or land plot and place four Hatching nets.

Step5: Scan Auction House for cheap eggs. These can hatch while youre out taming and grinding

How to train an old dragon new tricks

You will always need a flyer to get around and the faster dragon is the better. Aim for 180% flight speed on your main flyer at the very least.

Make sure healing wind, life reflux and will to live are on them and you should be fine no matter what type of dragon you use for your main.

Dragon Taming Tips

The person to first hit the roaming dragon after it spawned (usually spawns as level of the zone) That means you should NOT hit a noodle you find with your level 55 Char. Because a level 60 Dragon is not just a pain to get down to 10% HP (~2 hours with 5-8 ppl) it also is nearly impossible. You need atleast 50% DI to even stand a chance with perfect internet connection and good reflexes

The level of the roaming dragon gets determined by the tagger and also only the tagger and anybody in a party with said person is able to tame it then, unless you reset it (further down below) Soo grab yourself a guildee and a toon to get a Noodle tagged and secured. Low level toon tags -> the other person gets the aggro and keeps it busy -> low level toon can switch to main char (gotta be in the same party!) to fight and/or tame it.

A Noodle that was NOT capped does not despawn! thats why all the abandoned lvl 60 Dragons are flying around atm. The tagger does determine the level and ownership BUT the ownership can be transfered pretty easily by a reset:
- if the tagger dies and no other party member fighting it is left the ownership will be passed to the next person attacking
- The Ownership can be reset by dragging them underwater, which only works on certain routes tho (like Wynna)
+ apparently they also get reset after a low level Toon tags them, and then gets deleted right after. The dragon will remain on the tagged level but have no Ownership and is free for take
Ther other way is a total reset of the dragon, which includes the ownership AND the level tag, this can be done by:
- failing to tame the tagged Noodle, it will despawn and respawn again after a few minutes then UNTAGGED
- or (if for example the tagger is nowhere to be found and normal reset doesnt work, which sometimes happens) Kill the dragon. It will then most of the times respawn untagged again, tho not guaranteed on the same route, it might also reappear on other routes in said zone, or sometimes not appear again.

Those are the basic rules for tagging. Now if you found one heres a lil battle tip from me:
-the Noodles all have high HP and dmg (even a level 10 tagged Noodle can still kill you easily on 55)
- it is recommended to stun them permanently to prevent it from attacking. Best is any Bird with mounted combat skills, as the normal attack stuns and you can even heal your other party members if the dragon should attack afterall
- Be cautious not to throw/push the Noodle too far away from the route he spawned on, cause that will reset his HP so you gotta start fighting again

Hope this cleared up all the questions left out there and that at least the number of abandoned Lvl 60 noodles will stay low now, its a waste of precious Dragons that couldve been tamed by a player with no Oriental Dragon yet ...

Happy hunting!

Dragon Skillz

In Savage Hunt/Dragons Prophet the skills of the dragons you have equipped when you adventure, level, grind or go out to tame other dragons, form a large part of your ability and utility of your character.

This system allows for players to mix and match and come up with personal and customized builds. It is an amazingly flexible system once you have the hang of it.

The first skills to look out for is healing skills. Having healing skills on your equiped dragons is vital and can improve the survival-ability of any class and their dragon pets.

Most classes do not have any heals for several level in the start of the game. That can be fixed by having heals on one of your equipped dragons.

The main dragon healing skills are: Healing Wind, Life Reflux and Life Recovery

Healing Wind is the rarest of the three due to being the best. Don't be alarmed if you can't find this skill in the starting area - the other two will suffice just fine.

WARNING: Due to a glitch with some dragons, Healing Wind and Life Recovery sometimes don't work well together. Try to have Life Reflux, and one of the other of your choice.

Other important Dragon skills to train are crowd control abilities, Such as Cyclone Assault (Both), Obliterating Impact (Magic) and Fiery Hunting (Magic). In most cases crowd control attacks should take priority over normal attacks on any combat dragon.

Obliterating Impact: A powerful charging attack that inflicts physical damage equal to the dragon's intelligence. It scatters monsters but also stuns them, giving you time to regroup/heal in a sticky situation. Popular in the dragon arena, too.

Dragon Hunt List

Parsing Shadow is a level 14 Wyvern Dragon found in the north of East Parsing Woods
After completing the Public Event's objectives (The Pumpkin-Stealing: kill Apurian Transporters and Stalking Wolfwing Dragons) then Parsing Shadow will spawn.
https://dragons-prophet.fandom.com/wiki/Parsing_Shadow

Lockjaw can be found in the Tangaroa Abandoned Quarry boss room, to the right. Another possible spawn, is near the second group of Goblin Miners at the bottom of the second spiral staircase leading to a cliff. Lockjaw has the same coloration as Blood Fin.
Lockjaw has a chance to spawn at both locations in one run.

Indigo Flare is a level 35 Fabled Ancient Dragon. Indigo is a Stonerock Model Dragon and is colored in forest green and white. It has a fairly rugged appearance and a spiky club on the end of its tail.
https://dragons-prophet.fandom.com/wiki/Indigo_Flare

Inferno is a level 38 dungeon rare Raptor dragon located within Gaesis' Roost in Laedis. He will spawn during the cutscene that takes place at the camp. If he has spawned, the cutsene will show 6 dragons moving towards the camp instead of the regular 5 dragons.
https://dragons-prophet.fandom.com/wiki/Inferno

Night Mist is a Hydra Dragon that spawns after completion of road quests during the "night" cycle of the game with a spawn chance of 0.0001%. Night Mist is colored plum purple.
Night Mist, along with VesperJadeite, and Dayspring, are extremely rare random spawns from completing road quests at different times of the day/night cycle.

Balge is an Ancient Dragon found in Laedis inside Aryna's LairNyrol's Nest and Gaesis' Roost. Balge shares the same model as the boss Aryna's Offspring. Balge has a very rare chance of spawning and can spawn when entering the dungeon or after killing the boss.
When you enter the dungeons Nyrol's Nest or Gaesis' Roost Balge has a trigger point to spawn when you walk over it. In Nyrol's it will be stepping into the pool at the beginning with the aqua dragons, and in Gaesis' it will be when you walk to the end of the waterfall at the beginning of the dungeon. Be aware that Balge will spawn at level 15 with 6,190 health on easy mode, a quick one shot.
Because of his extremely low hit points, the following strategy is recommended:
  • Take off all armor items and carry in inventory.
  • Take off weapons and replace with low level weapon.
  • Switch to an empty talent specialization, if possible.
  • Use a very weak attack on Balge, only damage him once, and pray you don't kill him.
